Plain terms for ZEUS WALLET: what the software does, what you are responsible for, and what we do not promise.

These terms apply to this website and to the ZEUS WALLET desktop wallet software described on it. By using either, you accept them.
They do not cover any separate service, agreement or enterprise offering. If you have entered into a different agreement for a different service, that agreement governs that service, not this one.
In self-custodial configurations, you hold the keys to your funds. ZEUS WALLET does not hold those keys and cannot recover transactions or funds on your behalf.
If you lose your recovery words, or lose the data required to recover funds held in Lightning channels, those funds may be permanently unrecoverable. You are responsible for your backups.
If you choose a custodial arrangement, such as an ecash balance held by a mint, the operator of that service holds the underlying funds. Understand that trade-off before using it.
You are responsible for the security of the device you install the software on, for the credentials of any node or service you connect, for verifying payment details before confirming, and for complying with the laws that apply to you.
You must not use the software to break the law or to attempt to compromise other people's systems or funds.
The software can connect to independently operated projects and infrastructure, including Lightning node implementations, account-style backends and network tools. Those are not our products.
We do not control them, do not guarantee their availability or behaviour, and are not responsible for what happens when you connect to them. Their own terms apply to them.
The software and this website are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Nothing here is financial, tax, legal or investment advice. Bitcoin transactions are irreversible, and using Bitcoin and Lightning carries risk, including the risk of losing funds.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for lost funds, lost data, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the software or this website.
The application is published as open-source software under the AGPLv3 licence. The licence text distributed with the source code governs your rights to use, modify and redistribute the code, and prevails over these terms in the event of a conflict about the code itself.
These terms may be updated as the software and website change. Continuing to use them after an update means you accept the revised terms.
